dear animals,

why do you have to melt my heart? every last species of you. you are so amazing and generally so cute and astounding and just well... not human....and any time anything bad happens to you i just want to go and sit in my room for a month and wail and punch things.

you are so much better then people mostly all of the time. you are beautiful. and both simple and complex. and have these whole huge lives that most people don't even see or think about or consider as valuable. and are so different and interesting and gorgeous and sometimes sad and wise seeming.

i wish i could save all of you. and just leave you the hell alone to do your thing. to live how you live. well unless you are my cat, then i wanna snuggle at least a little :)

why is it that i love you so madly?
